WHAT WE BELIEVE

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was crucified, died, buried, rose from the dead, and later ascended into heaven.

Salvation is by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, and is based upon the sovereign grace of God, was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received by man through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual.

All Scripture is inspired by God.

In the operation of the five fold ministry gifts in the body: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.

In water baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Eternal life begins either in heaven or hell. Where you spend eternity is based on your decision to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.

God still speaks, and hearing from Him can be on an individual or corporate level through the prophecy and prophetic utterance.

LEADERS
Maurice and Michele suggs
Maurice and Michele are passionate about helping people find their purpose and plan in life. Natives of Philadelphia, they both recognize the beauty of their hometown and feel called to reformational ministry in their city. Having experienced healing, deliverance, and ultimate freedom as the direct result of understanding their purpose and identity in Christ, Michele and Maurice are in pursuit of changing the lives of people within the region and throughout the world. Multigenerational, ethnically and racially diverse, culturally engaging, and accessible, their ministry involves supporting people as they realize their calling to become world-changing leaders. Maurice and Michele believe that everyone has a destiny and purpose to fulfill, and they will not stop until every person and family is making an inerasable mark on their community.
Maurice and Michele enjoy spending time with family and friends and raising their son, Micah. They are excited about what God has called their family to, and they look forward to growing with Movement Church.

We are the church for people who are tired of church.
We recognize that today many people feel like church is unreal, stagnant, limited, close-minded, boring, ineffective, and irrelevant. As a result, many people are frustrated with church, dormant in their spiritual growth, or not attending local churches at all. This is not God’s desire for His people. This is not advancing God’s kingdom.
God wants church to be a life altering experience that promotes individuals to make a corporate impact. God wants a church of real people, truly seeking His will, eagerly engaging the world around them, and effectively living testimonies that look like Jesus. As we openly engage and fellowship with people from every walk of life, we collectively grow kingdom and reflect God in the multitude of ways we individually serve Him.
